CWS Retained by Harvey-Cleary for Privacy Window Film Installation Project at VA

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Commercial Window Shield has been hired by Harvey-Cleary Builders for a two-part window film installation project at the nation’s largest veteran’s clinic. Construction on the four-story, 470,000 square foot Fredericksburg Health Care Center began in 2021 and is expected to be completed in 2024.

Phase 1 of Commercial Window Shield’s role in the project, already completed, involved installing a mirrored, reflective privacy film on exterior ground floor windows in one section of the building to prevent people walking by from seeing inside the building, where a construction wall is located.

Phase 2, which will begin later this year, involves installing a frosted opaque privacy film on second floor lobby windows. The decorative privacy film will prevent building visitors in the first-floor lobby from peering up into second-floor VA offices.

Over the years, Commercial Window Shield has worked on numerous window film installation projects for Harvey-Cleary, one of the country’s largest construction companies. Additionally, the company has worked with many other leading general contractors, including DAVIS, HITT, Rand Construction, DPR Construction, Gilbane and May Construction.

In addition to privacy/decorative window film installation, Commercial Window is a leading installer of security and solar control window films, radio frequency [RF] films, switchable smart films, anti-bird strike films and polycarbonate protective glass systems.

Commercial Window Shield’s many clients have included the U.S. Capitol, FBI headquarters, the Pentagon, all House of Representative and Library of Congress buildings, Grand Central Terminal, Merrill Lynch headquarters, the United Nations, the Willis [former Sears] Tower, O’Hare and Seattle international airports, and the Philadelphia and Denver mints.
